Exposición "el fiasco del fisco" en CentroCentro, Cibeles.
El proyecto cuestiona el poder persuasorio e intimidatorio de la
seguridad por medio de una instalación distribuida en dos espacios uno
vertical, la pared, con la frase “cuando el gato no está las ratas hacen
fiesta” y otro horizontal, el suelo, compuesto por 35 billetes reales
de 5€ sobre 35 trampas desactivadas para ratas, todo a su vez vigilado
por las cámaras y la seguridad privada del centro. La instalación en la
sala no hacía referencia sobre si el dinero o las trampas eran reales o
no.
Pasado menos de un mes de exposición no quedaba ni uno de los
billetes de 5€ e incluso faltaban 5 trampas. Los elementos
intimidatorios de la seguridad no funcionaron y fueron robados los 175€
que formaban la instalación, a su vez, los elementos de vigilancia
reales del centro, la seguridad privada que vigila los espacios, se negó
a facilitar datos sobre lo sucedido, y las ratas hicieron fiesta.
When the cat isn't
Exhibition "el fiasco del fisco" in CentroCentro, Cibeles.
The project questions the persuasive and
intimidating power of security by means of an installation distributed
in two spaces one vertical, the wall, with the phrase "when the cat
isn´t the rats make party" and another horizontal, the ground, composed
of 35 Real bills of 5€ on 35 traps deactivated for rats, all in turn
monitored by the cameras and the private security of the center. The
installation in the room did not refer to whether the money or the traps
were real or not.
After less than a month of exposure
there was stole all of bills and even 5 traps were missing. The
intimidating elements of security did not work and were stolen the 175 €
that formed the facility, in turn, the elements of the center, private
security, refused to provide data on what happened, and the Rats made
party.
